Happy Friday all! Well the precipitation came in overnight leaving us with a thick layer of wet snow this morning. Reports of about 3.5 inches have been reported in the area, making travel on the roadways a little hairy this morning. Looking at the current surface map you can see an area of low pressure moved in switching the winds from their easterly direction yesterday (mid-day) to out of the west which brought with in the moisture and conditions for the snow fall.

My forecast from yesterday was pretty good except for the expected snowfall totals.
My forecast for the weekend is for another round of snow which could bring as much as a foot of snow to the region. I am still a little unclear of how this system is going to form but all of the experts are saying this is a storm which is hard to see coming to the untrained eye (which is me).
